McTominay has been named among the nominees for the Serie A Most Valuable Player award in midfield, capping off a remarkable debut season with title-chasing Napoli. The former Manchester United midfielder has impressed in Italy with a string of standout performances, quickly establishing himself as a key figure in the heart of the Partonopei midfield and playing a vital role in the push to win the Scudetto.

McTominay made a big move to the Serie A last summer, with Napoli paying around €30 million (£26m/$35m) for his services. The Scottish international quickly established himself as the differential player in Antonio Conte's side. Indeed, McTominay has scored 11 goals in 33 games in the league.
